Sadly we are finding it difficult to find  au pairs for our families at the moment, so we have decided not to take any more families on for the time being.

Back to School

I can't believe that the summer holidays are nearly over and the kiddies are virtually back to school.. what a busy summer it has been .. We have placed lots of summer girls and from the feedback we have had they have been a great success!!

Now is a time that many new girls are about to start as au pairs with families to start a new academic year, this is always a difficult time so families remember the more time you put into helping the au pair now the more settled they will be. If you want any advice please call us !

Summer Girls

Well as I look out of my office window and it is pouring with rain I am wondering if I can really call them summer au pairs !
Anyway what I want to say is we have a few left still so if it is something you are thinking about - please call us . The ones we have are university students and they look great , they can start asap and stay until mid-September !

Now that we are just starting the Easter holidays it maybe time to start thinking about the summer holidays.

Nanny Salaries

There was an interesting article in the Daily Telegraph yesterday below saying how much money nannies in the U.K are now demanding , I do think this is staggering bearing in mind that foreign nannies from Eastern Europe would be happy on half this for a live in position  - maybe it is something more families should look into and we would be happy to help :-) for more info call us on 01666841225....

"Demand for trained nannies has sent their salaries to record levels, with many earning as much as teachers, nurses or police officers

The average earnings of a daily nanny in central London have risen above £30,000 for the first time to £33,179 - equivalent of a police officer in the capital with about two years' experience."    Live-in nannies command slightly less at £24,545. The rise in nanny salaries in London amounts to a 14 per cent increase in 12 months. Across the country as a whole, nannies' salaries have risen 7.4 per cent. In outer London and the home counties, daily nannies now earn £25,548, with live-in nannies on £19,988." In towns and cities, live-in nannies earn £17,908 and daily ones £22,263. Wages, according to a survey by Nannytax, a company that provides payroll services for parents and agencies, and Nursery World magazine, are slightly lower in the countryside, where live-in nannies are paid £17,797 and daily nannies £21,937.

I can't believe another year is beginning and we have lots of exciting things happening in Toto's !
